Debt and Capital Advisory · Amsterdam
Considered, credible, and personal counsel for owners and management teams on the decisions that shape a balance sheet.
Considered.
Credible.
Personal.
Where the work has been done
Three markets, one standard. The relationships behind a mandate rarely sit in a single city, and neither does the experience behind the advice.
Mock Home of the firm. Long Lane Capital Advisory B.V., Netherlands.
Mock European debt and capital markets, lender and adviser relationships.
Mock Asia-Pacific experience across the same disciplines.
Confirm the role and period in each city before this band goes live, and cut any city the record does not support. Every image on this page is a mock for presentation only, badged accordingly: the three cityscapes and the hero still are Wikimedia Commons, the service cards and the portrait are Lorem Picsum. None of it is licensed for publication and none of it is an art-direction proposal. Final photography is sourced and placed by Jed per the brand kit.
Approach
The same standards apply whether the question is a refinancing, a raise, or a structure that needs a second opinion.
Measured advice, not hype. Every recommendation is weighed against the client's objectives, with trade-offs set out plainly so the decision stays with the client.
Senior counsel at every step. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it, with the standard expected of an institutional adviser.
A direct relationship with the principal, not a process run by a team you never meet. Independent, and free of the conflicts that come with a balance sheet to place.
Services
Advisory across the debt and capital lifecycle, from first structuring to Financial Close.
The four cards below carry the reference model's sector-grid layout with provisional headings only. Confirm the actual service lines and their scope from About Me/About Me.md and memory/, then remove the "scope to confirm" tags.
Mock Reviewing existing facilities, testing the market, and running a refinancing to terms that hold up over the life of the debt.
Scope to confirm
Mock Structuring the raise, preparing the materials, and managing the lender or investor process through to Financial Close.
Scope to confirm
Mock An independent read on a term sheet, a structure, or an offer already on the table, with the trade-offs set out plainly.
Scope to confirm
Mock Additional advisory work Long Lane Capital Advisory takes on, to be defined against the firm's confirmed positioning.

Questions
How a mandate works, what independence means in practice, and where Long Lane Capital Advisory fits alongside your existing advisers.
The additional questions from faq_index.html have not been merged, because that file is not present here. The set below is expanded from six to fourteen using questions that the brand kit and confirmed positioning already support. Send the file and the remaining questions drop straight into these four groups.
The firm
Long Lane Capital Advisory has no balance sheet to place and no product to sell. The advice is not shaped by a lending appetite elsewhere in the firm, so the recommendation and the client's interest point the same way.
Jerrold Abbertson, directly. The person who scopes the mandate is the person who runs it. There is no junior team working behind the relationship.
Amsterdam, with working experience across London and Sydney. Lender and investor relationships rarely sit in one market, and mandates are run accordingly.
Every conversation is treated as confidential from the first call, before any documentation is signed. Client names appear in public material only where they have been cleared in writing.
Working together
An introductory call, in confidence and without obligation, to understand the situation and judge whether the mandate is a fit. If it is not, you will be told so directly.
Yes. The role is usually complementary to your accountants, lawyers, and corporate finance advisers, covering the debt and capital question specifically rather than duplicating their work.
Confirm the standard information request at kick-off: historic accounts, current facility documentation, forecast model, shareholder objectives. List only what is genuinely required.
Mandates
Confirm the mandate size range, sector focus, and any minimum. Leave this question out entirely rather than publish an approximate range.
Confirm sector coverage, and whether the positioning is sector-agnostic with selected areas of depth. Do not list a sector without a mandate or credential behind it.
Confirm the boundary between debt advisory, capital raising, and any equity-side work, so the website matches the engagement letter.
Yes. Where the structure does not serve the client, or the firm is not the right adviser for it, that is said at the outset rather than after a fee has been agreed.
Fees and timing
Confirm the fee model: retainer, success fee, or a combination, and what a typical engagement covers. Do not publish an indicative fee without Jed's sign-off.
Confirm typical timelines by mandate type. Use plain hyphen ranges (for example 2-4 weeks) and label anything forward-looking as indicative.
Confirm whether any post-close support, covenant monitoring, or annual review sits inside the standard mandate or is engaged separately.
Contact
A first conversation is the best way to judge fit. No obligation, in confidence.
Insert real contact details: email, telephone, and LinkedIn, and wire them into the two buttons. Per LLCA rules, outgoing communication uses "Jerrold", not "Jed".
